Thursday, Ryann and I skipped school and slept in. It was really nice just to relax, we really needed the rest and the time off. The sun, walking, school and different way of life here takes a toll on us and our bodies and minds are definitely tired. So we decided to skip school and just relax and spend time together. We slept in and then headed off to the beach. We got to the beach and hung out there for about 2 hours until this creepy ocean fog took over the sun and we could no longer feel the heat of the sun or see 30 feet from us, so we decided to head home. We napped and then Carmen made us my favorite meal of all time that she makes for us, Albondigas (meatballs) with some sort of almond sauce. This time, it wasn't only meatball, she had put mushrooms and chicken in it too. It was "de muerte y la bomba" (to die for and the bomb).
After dinner, Ryann and I showered and walked down to the pier here and got some ice cream and just went for a little walk together. I think both of us are ready to get home because our nerves are wearing a little thin with each other, but we both try to remember that we are all we have and we need to have a good time here. We really have only got in 1 fight since we've been here. That's pretty successful for us :). Our walk was nice and the pier was really pretty that we went down and saw. After that we came back to our apartment and ate dinner, did homework, talked to family and went to bed. Sounds like a pretty lazy day....because it was.
Today we got up and went to school. It was pretty frustrating today because we were learning some really simple things and people in my class weren't understanding it. I just feel like sometimes the people in my class don't listen and then it wastes my time and my money because I want to learn more than just reviewing stuff I already know. I'm trying to be patient and be understanding that not everyone just came here to see the country and take classes. After school we went to the beach with our friends Hanna and Amber. It was really nice out and Ryann and I got a little too much sun which made us tired, lazy and grumpy the rest of the night. I went swimming in the Mediterranean which was pretty awesome. After that we came home, napped, ate and packed our suitcases for our weekend trip to Sevilla with our ISA group. It should be really fun but another really tiring weekend. I'll be able to take my computer so I will try and updated tomorrow again. If not, you will be hearing from me Sunday. Counting the days until I'm home.
Vaya con Dios!
