Nerja

Today, a large group of us, larger than we thought, went to Nerja.  There were about 25 of us total but it was a really nice day. Ryann and I woke up and Carmen made us toast, eggs and bacon and got out all of the stuff for us to pack sandwiches and we packed them up and were on our way to meet up with some friends and walk to the bus station.

We first went to the caves of Nerja, which are a really popular place to visit while in Nerja.  The caves were absolutely awesome, probably the biggest and prettiest cave I have ever seen in my life.  We spent about an hour in them, but they were magnificent and we just stared at the cave in amazement.  It was really cool and I'm very glad that we made the trip out to go see them.

After the caves, we hopped on a bus and headed to the actual town of Nerja.  We all decided to go down to the beach.  It was gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous.  The water was aqua and the sand on the beach wasn't sand, but rocks that the water had smoothed so there were no points.  At first, the day seemed a little gloomy, but it turned out to be beautiful.  I should have put sunscreen on because my cheeks and shoulders are a little pink tonight after getting home.

Oh I almost forgot, Ryann and a friend of ours, Hanna, decided to wonder into a shop and I continued on with the group because I didn't want to get lost, assuming that Hanna and Ryann would soon arrive at the beach with all of us.  Well, my assumptions were wrong because they wandered around the city trying to find us and 5 calls land about an hour later, Ryann and Hanna finally find their way to the beach we were at.  Needless to say, I was very worried, because after all I am the big sister and need to take care of Ry and always make sure she is safe, and I felt helpless not knowing where she was or how to give her directions.  My worriedness was settled a little that she was with Hanna because she is a really nice girl.  Anyways, we lounged on the beach for a good period of time and then decided to go venture on the beach and found some really cool rocks to climb on.  Hanna and I were the only ones to climb far enough to see the beautiful views from the other side.  We both decided that we could have sat up there all day long because it was so relaxing hearing the waves crash into the rocks and staring into the aqua water.  It was awesome.  It was a beautiful beach and I'm hoping to go back again soon before we leave Spain.

We got some mango and raspberry sorbet while walking along the boardwalk and then decided to pack up and go up to the bus stop.  We caught the bus and headed home tired and exhausted from the long day we had, but it was well wroth every second of it.  We are about to eat dinner that Carmen made us, her version of spaghetti.. it is wonderful!  Tonight, we will probably just rest in our rooms and do some homework.  We are awfully tired after the long day.  Who knows what tomorrow has in store for us, but hopefully it's something wonderful:).

Vaya con Dios!
