First day of School

So, although we have had 10 hours of classes previous to today, today was called our actual first day of school.  This morning, Ryann and I made it to class successfully without getting off of the bus stop a whole 40 minutes to early, YAY!  We got to school and had class with our group as normal until 1120.  At 1120, we went into a larger classroom and we were split up into smaller groups from between 5-10 people for each class.  I'm really glad we got split up into smaller sections because it's a more one-on-one experience and allows for us to be able to ask more questions and learn more.  The teacher started calling off names and Ryann and I, thank the Lord, were both placed in the same small class of 6 people.  We were really happy especially because we were placed with 4 other people that are in our ISA group.  The classroom we are in is absolutely tiny!  Anyways, our two teachers, Esther and Beatrice, were really nice and you can tell that they really want to help us.  They give us time to ask questions and always make sure we understand what we went over before we move on.  I'm actually excited about school because I think that we will learn a lot while here.

Tonight we are going to an intercambio, which is a Spanish-English language exchange between a group of students.  I'm kind of nervous but also excited to go.  I'll just have to wait and see exactly what it's all about.  Hopefully, the rest of this week goes by quickly, which I'm thinking it will with school and going to the beach.  This weekend, we hope to go to Nerja, which is a beautiful city about an hour bus ride away from Malaga.  Hopefully, while there we can go to the caves of Nerja and go to the beach.  The water there is very blue and is beautiful.  Hopefully, pictures will come after this weekend.

Sunday, we will probably just go the beach here in Malaga for a while and then come home and relax/read/do homework and maybe walk around the city some and explore some new places.  I have a check list of things I will do before I come home.

Hike
Go to Nerja
Piccaso Museum
Beach at least 3 times a week :)
Go to the Botanical Garden
Go to Gibralter--this one is a possible.  My heart won't be broken if I don't get to do this.

I'm sure the list will continually get longer, but as of now, this is the short list of things I want to do before I come home.  It will not only be incredibly awesome, but it will make the time here go by quicker and give me more memories of Spain!

I will try and update again later after the intercambio and let everyone know how it went.  Hasta luego!

Vaya con Dios.
