A much better day!

Today was a much better day.  School was really good and I really enjoy all of my teachers.  Especially our conversation and etc. teacher.  His name is Alvero and he is absolutely hilarious.  Today we were trying to explain to him what a praying mantis was completely in Spanish and it was very challenging.  So challenging that Ryann and I were acting out like we were the bugs and trying to draw pictures of them on the board for him.  Despite our best efforts, we didn't manage to explain to him what a praying mantis was.  He taught us some new phrases to say in Spanish today, like when you really really like something you say "la bomba" (the bomb) and "de muerte" (to die for).  He also taught us "Ni fi ni fu" which means more or less or it was ok.  I really liked this phrase and kept giggling repeatedly when he would say it.  We went out to talk about how the color black was slimming and that all the ladies wear it to the club because it makes them look like coca-cola bottles.  He is a blast and I love that all of our teachers want us to learn so much.  It makes school really easy to go to!

After school, Ryann and I went to the beach for a solid four hours again with our friends Amber and Hanna.  They are awesome girls that we hang out with a lot while here.  The beach was beautiful and there wasn't a cloud in the sky.  The only downfall is all of the ladies with thong bikinis and no tops on.   It's really awkward.  Oh well, I guess we will get used to it.  After the beach we went back into the center (which is where we live) and went with the girls to buy their books and headed to the ISA office here to talk to Carolina (one of our advisors) about some questions we had.  We came home, took showers and ate some delicious food and just have been laying around since.

Tomorrow morning we are going to Nerja! I'm so completely excited.  We are headed to the caves first and then possibly going into town and the beach.  We are going fairly early in the morning so I should get some rest.  I will upload pictures of Nerja tomorrow when we get back.  Thanks for everyone checking in and continuing to think and pray for us while we are here.  All of your support means a lot :).

Vaya con Dios!
